Adrift in the Sound
What were the main themes of the book? Sex, drugs and rock & roll offer a stunning backdrop for other elements like murder, politics, societal issues and Lizette's inner demons. Were you able to connect with the main character and why? For the most part, it is easy to connect with Lizette. She is very passionate about her art in a way that even when she is complimented she feels inadequate. I didn't understand this bit about her but maybe when you are that passionate about something, you seek perfection in a way others may not understand.
Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? Yes, I would definitely recommend this book. The author's writing style is very captivating and I think the way she projects each character and situation is absolutely entertaining.
