Poison Pill - M.A. Granovsky Was the story credible? The characters credible? Everything seemed real. Felt just like a story unfolding on the evening news.

What makes a minor character memorable? Clarie and William – these two would move a mountain to help a friend.

Have you had a life changing revelation from reading this text? Life changing revelation, no. But I will make it a point to research any new drugs I might take in the future.

What major emotion did the story evoke in you as a reader? Disgust at drug companies and the people who push to get something marketable.

January Exposure - Sunny Benson Tell about the most exciting part of the book. When Ellie was in the drug dealers house. Ellie was buying drugs. They wanted to party with her, but she doesn't do drugs.

What did you enjoy about this book? The entire book was phenomenal. Really loved it.

What have you read that is similar to this book? Jackie Collins' books.

What do you think the author was trying to accomplish with this novel? To present a book that you just can't put down.

Zoe & Zak and the Ghost Leopard - Lars Guignard What kind of book is this? It is fiction. Two children are left in another country by themselves and eventually comes across talking statues and talking Gods. There were several ghosts that helped the children.

Did this book give you any new ideas about yourself? Take the time to listen to people, listen to them and believe what they believe no matter how strange.

At the end of the book, do you feel hope for the characters? I have hope for all of them. This is a fun and enjoyable book that the whole family would enjoy.

An 8-Track to 81 Chapters - Robin L. Sanders How realistic was the characterization? Did the actions of the characters seem plausible?

Some of the characters were realistic. Teenagers face a lot of issues, trying to grow up. They go through many changes and do not usually take advice well.

What were the main themes of the book? How well did the author execute these themes?

Most about 6 teenagers and all their problems at home. Their issues at their University. About demons and evil spirits. Storybook lands I didn't think any of the themes were executed well.

Describe 2 different settings or locations.

St Cardinal University Where they all went to school. Finkelroth Town.

Shades of Gray - Andy Holloman What motivates a given character’s actions? John does something that he's morally against. I do believe it's justified. Parents will do anything to save their child.

Which characters do you particularly admire or dislike? I admire John. And I admire Travis for his love of Lucy. Despised Jamel.

Do you find the characters convincing? Every character was interesting and believable.

How would the book have been different if it had taken place in a different time or place? Every drug deal needs a tropical island for the exchange so a different time or place might have worked for this story.

Bad Traffick - D.V. Berkom What do you think will be your lasting impression of this book? I have read many books and watched several movies on this topic. I find it interesting.

What were the main themes of the book? The story was about human trafficking and murder. The author did a fairly good job at executing the themes.

Describe 2 different settings or locations. The auction where the young girls were sold. The red carpet event that showcased Miles' new movie.

Daimones (Daimones Trilogy, #1) - Massimo Marino Top 3 things I liked about the main character – Dan was resourceful and smart. He stayed calm in every situation. Safety was his main priority.

Top 3 things I liked about the setting in this book – There wasn't any particular setting that stood out so it's a little hard to choose.

Formatting / Appearance – I had no problems with either. The cover was simple.

Here Among Us - Maggie Harryman What were the main themes of the book? It was about the O'shea family. The struggles of the siblings, growing up and the family business. The execution could have been a little better as some characters were under developed.

Describe 2 different settings or locations. Oshea's Bar - Paddy ran the bar and the family lived above it. The funeral of Father Fritz.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? Only a little, would have liked a bit more emotion.

Which did you find more appealing, the introduction or the conclusion? The ending, loose ends were tied up and the plot fell into place.

Deadly Memories - S.D. O'Donnell Were there any other especially interesting characters? Saul was my favorite. He believed in saving the victim at all cost. He believed in right and wrong. He wanted to save all victims.

What did you dislike? No concerns.

Name your favorite thing overall about the book. Your least favorite? Every single page.

Did you find this book a quick read? The entire book was captivating.

If you could rewrite the ending, would you? I believe I would rewrite the last chapter.

Consider the ending. Did you expect it or were you surprised? Was very surprised about the way the book ended. I understand the ending but I don't necessarily have to like it.

Is the story plot or character driven? The story is character driven.

Forged in Grace - Jordan E. Rosenfeld What would the main character be likely to do if s/he visited? Talk about how, we all should be accepting and loving to everyone.

If you were in a problem situation like one in the book, how would you have acted? I would continue to have plastic surgery and go to some place new. Just like Grace did.

What lesson did you learn from the story? True friends can always find their way back to each other.

Tell five ways the main character is like you. Grace was adaptable, strong, compassionate, not afraid, to go somewhere new, a true friend.

What were the main relationships explored in this book? Forgiveness, acceptance, change

What is the time period in which the book happens?
The story happens in modern times.

Did the plot pull you in or did you feel you had to force yourself to read the book? I personally had to force myself to stop and not read ahead. We read this as part of our book club. We had some great discussions from the book.

Favourite location / setting … There are so many to pick. Robinson talking about his sagging behind, his sex drive, or just general talk about getting old.

Favourite scene …. James and his wife, Debbie, standing up after having dinner with some friends. Okay seriously everyone is stiff after sitting 2 hours.

Favourite quote … “What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.”

Never Give in to Fear: Laughing All the Way Up From Rock Bottom - Marti MacGibbon Did you find that the cover and title represented what the story was really about? Without knowing anything about the book after seeing the cover and reading the title I would think the book would possible be something in the horror genre. With the forest showing it makes this reader think that walking into the forest is the unknown and to not give into the fear that I might be feeling.

Did you like the way the story ended? I felt the book ended abruptly. I was looking forward to reading more about recovery. There is not a cliff-hanger and the ending fit the book, I just felt there was something missing.

Have you ever experienced anything similar to the action of this novel? In real life, thankfully no. I have not experienced anything like this.

Was the story credible? The characters credible? You know the old saying “Fact is stranger than fiction”. Well that totally applies to this book.

Trapped - George A. Bernstein Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? Yes, for anyone who enjoys a paranormal mystery.

Did the book description relate to the story? No, the description reads like Jackee was paralyzed from a car accident. Readers learn that this is not the case.

3 things I liked about the book … The authors writing style, it was unique. The unusual plot, I have not seen or read any books similar to this. Enjoyed knowing that the author took a real medical condition to write his story.

Did the plot pull you in or did you feel you had to force yourself to read the book? I was personally pulled in from the beginning. Very hard to put this book down after starting.
