Refuge - N.G. Osborne At the end of the book, do you feel hope for the characters? I feel no hope for Charlie or Noor. This was really said and I didn't like that the book had to end like this.

What are the most revealing scenes? When Charlie saw all the people with missing limbs. They were dirty, skinny and wore ripped clothes.

What did you like most about the book? I liked reading about another culture. The story could have been true. I liked how in depth the characters were.

What did you think was the most interesting part of the book? The whole book is interesting and it would be impossible for me to pick one part.

What have you read that is similar to this book? I am inclined to say I've read this genre before but this was my first time and I definitely will read more of this in the future.

What are some of the book's themes? Love and betrayal, protection and secrets.

Top 3 things I liked about the setting in this book. The settings were mostly dingy hotels. Edmund's house was the only thing with a little interest.

Cruxim: You Are Never Alone (Paranormal Fallen Angels) (Volume 1) - Karin Cox Compare two of the characters in this book. Dr. Gandler - Evil man that did experiments on woman. Very cruel and he exploited ever unusual person, he could find. He kidnapped people and killed many of them.

Sabine - A Spinx. The guardian of humans.

What kind of book is this? Fiction. Vampires. The ages of the characters. Spinx. Guy with two heads.

Do any characters grow or change during the course of the novel? The characters remain focused on each other and survival.

What did you like most about the book? I like vampire books. The mythical characters in this book definitely made it more interesting. Had love, torture and betrayal.

Blown Circuit: Explosive Spy Action for Mystery Thriller Fans (#2)

Blown Circuit  - Lars Guignard What did you like about the main character is like you. He is loyal, dedicated, strong, smart and knows how to improvise.

Was the story credible? All characters were believable and I definitely think this book should be made into a movie.

Did you find any flaws in the book? No flaws at all. Loved the writing and loved the story.

Brought tears to my eyes. The elderly have so much to give. Sometimes, we don't take the time to just listen.

Name your favorite thing overall about the book?

Nana was a splendid lady. Appreciated her candor and flashy humor.

Sex and Death in the American Novel - Sarah Martinez Would you recommend it? I highly recommend this book to readers that are not offended by language or erotic literature.

What did you like about it? Really enjoyed the authors reference to classic literature. Almost all book club members have read the books and this one provided some amazing discussions. Tropic of Cancer, Exit to Eden, and many others.

Was it a good book? I enjoyed the book, was hard to put down sometimes. Being hard to put down and a good book is two separate things. But, my opinion, yes it was good book.

Lessons from the Lemonade Stand: A Common Sense Primer on Investing - James Berman Does the author—or can you—offer solutions to the problems or issues raised in the book? The main thing I took from the book is that people need to research before investing. No investment is a sure thing or a get rich quick investment.

Would you recommend it? I recommend to anyone that would like a little more information about the basic in investing. This is a subject that is not easily understood.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter? That maybe I should leave the investing up to others and allow a market manager to invest my money.

Barbed-Wire Butterflies - Jessica Kristie What motivates a given character’s actions? Elani wants to survive. She is smart, takes in everything and never gives up hope. A genuine heroine in so many ways.

Which characters do you particularly admire or dislike? I admire Elani and Eddie. I disliked the Captain.

Do you find the characters convincing? The entire book is compelling and I look forward to reading other books by the author.

What I didn't like.
There wasn't anything I didn't like about this book. But it sure was sad and makes you question loyalty and trust. Do we really know, anyone?

Did you find that the cover and title represented what the story was really about?
The cover and title fit perfectly. It is too bad that the movie version has distorted so much of the real story.

What did you think of the story structure?
The story was pretty much a straightforward read, which I appreciate.

Jack Templar Monster Hunter: The Templar Chronicles: Book One

Jack Templar, Monster Hunter - Jeff Gunhus Did the plot pull you in or did you feel you had to force yourself to read the book? It wasn't a forced read and I look forward to reading other books in the series.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? I was definitely able to connect with. This book read like a fairy tale and I enjoyed reading it with my nephews and nieces.

3 things I liked about the book … I liked the vampire and werewolf ideas. Jack's adventure makes this book a fun read and it's fast-paced enough to keep you turning the pages.

Sleeper's Run - Henry Mosquera Did the book end the way you expected? To a large extent, the ending was predictable but it was still a great read.

Who in this book would you most like to meet? Eric would be my choice. He is on the run from two different governments and yet somehow stays sane enough to provide the reader with a fantastic thriller mystery.

What problems does one of the characters have, and how does he or she solve it? Eric searches for answers. The doctor explains what happen to him and why.

Adrift in the Sound

Adrift in the Sound - Kate  Campbell What were the main themes of the book? Sex, drugs and rock & roll offer a stunning backdrop for other elements like murder, politics, societal issues and Lizette's inner demons.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? For the most part, it is easy to connect with Lizette. She is very passionate about her art in a way that even when she is complimented she feels inadequate. I didn't understand this bit about her but maybe when you are that passionate about something, you seek perfection in a way others may not understand.

Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? Yes, I would definitely recommend this book. The author's writing style is very captivating and I think the way she projects each character and situation is absolutely entertaining.

Dark Side of Sunset Pointe - A Lance Underphal Mystery - Michael Allan Scott What are some of the book's themes? Murder, mayhem, adultery, strip joints and power. All played an important part. There were many things going on in this book and as cluttered as it seemed, it mde the story more interesting.

Did the book description relate to the story? The description was accurate and offered a good summary of the main character, Lance.

Which did you find more appealing, the introduction or the conclusion? The ending was the best. My book club members and I agreed that it took us by surprise.

What problems does one of the characters have, and how does he or she solve it? Big Mike has money problems. He goes to a loan shark to get more cash.

Primal - D.A. Serra Did you find that the cover and title represented what the story was really about? It was fast paced. It was filled with suspense and terror. The courage that Alison found deep inside herself.

Did anyone in the book do something you did not like? The brothers were all sadistic killers.

What problems does one of the characters have, and how does he or she solve it? Alison killed everyone of the brothers to save her family

What did you think of the style of the writer? Wonderful writing, love everything about the book
